England losing to Iceland wasn’t something any of us expected, the wealth of talent we have within the team and the performances these players put in for their club teams should at least mean they can beat Iceland.
Joe Hart playing for Manchester City in a Champions League final does not let that 2nd goal in!
Harry Kane 90 minutes from winning the Premier League plays a lot better and doesn’t lose his first touch the way he did last night.
A lot of these players just weren’t on form and probably our 2 most inform players Rashford and Vardy didn’t start.
There was NO pressure on England to go all the way this year so pressure can’t be used as an excuse.
England will head to France for the European Championships understandably bullish. With ten wins out of ten behind them, the Lions have a real chance to carry such form onto the big stage and, maybe… just maybe, could come home with something other than abject disappointment. England are doing well in this years Euros. They should of held onto their lead against Russia and a dramatic comeback against Wales has left England top of group B. If England are to win it all then they will have to beat the best.

I have faith that England can improve on their performances… OFFENSIVELY, defensively they are shaky and simply not good enough and I don’t believe the strikers can offset the inevitable goals this England team will concede against better opposition. England will have to choose to defend or attack. Trying to balance the two will not only have offensive players further away from the goals and having to do things they’re not best at but they will use a lot more energy chasing and fighting for the ball. It’s a tough one for Roy Hodgson but he has passed the tests brought to him so far and who knows, he could still continue his good fortune.
Eden Hazard will lead Belgium out as captain of his team and after his horrible season for Chelsea he will need to do something he hasn’t really ever done and that’s set the field alight in a Belgium shirt. Among Belgium supports, they don’t see Eden Hazard as their main man but instead, his old Chelsea team mate Kevin De Bruyne as the star of the national team. Eden for some reason hasn’t really shown his quality in a Belgium shirt but this year could be different and with his talent and now being captain, big things are expected for the 25-year-old.
